Prodew is the industry leader in misting and humidification for the retail grocery industry. They design, engineer, and manufacture misting systems for the produce department, humidity systems for storage rooms and for the meat, seafood, deli, and floral departments, as well as water filtration systems, sanitization equipment, and more.
The Veredesigns Team helped Prodew to develop their in-house marketing and design department. When we were brought on board, the only branding they had was a logo. All their marketing materials were mismatched and their website was difficult to navigate and uninformative.
Veredesigns designed their new website with easy navigation for two primary audiences - those who know what they need and those who need more guidance.
When a user enters the site, they can navigate based on industry/department to learn more about what systems and solutions Prodew can offer, or if they know what they need, they can go directly to the equipment.
Veredesigns created all the copy and the images. However, we stopped managing the site in January 2021. Per this update (July 2021), all the content is still from our team (Prodew hasn't updated anything). Per your viewing, there may have been some changes.
We also created a range of custom e-mail campaigns for Prodew.
We created a simple home page. The banner carousel shows some of the products and services that Prodew offers. As the user scrolls down, they encounter a series of image-based buttons that will direct them to products or to industries/departments. The home page was not designed to provide an abundance of information, but rather as a hub to direct the user on how to find the information they are seeking.
The Product Index page is the second level of navigation. It outlines the product line that Prodew offers for users who know what system they are interested in.
The Industry Index page is also part of the second level of navigation. It is focused to department managers or other users who would like some guidance in what systems and solutions are applicaple to their need.
Product - Misting
The next level of navigation is the Product page. The Misting page is an example... It explains what misting is and why it is an important tool to maintain product freshness and extend shelf life.
System - Versa Fresh
The final level of navigation is the System page. This Versa Fresh page is a good example - it provides detailed information about the system including benefits, specifications, and more.
Industry - Retail Index
If we go back to the Industries path, the third tier of navigation would be the particular industry. Retail grocery is Prodew's primary focus. From this page, the user can pick which department they manage to see what systems would help maintain freshness. WIth the Covid-19 pandemic, Prodew moved their sanitization system banner to the top of each page to show the user that in addition to maintaining freshness and extending shelf life, they can also help provide a safe shopping experience for their employees and customers.
Industry - Ratail - Produce
The Industry path has a fourth level of navigation for some of the industries served. In Retail, it is further broken down by department. On this Produce page, the user will find additional information on how Prodew can help. Links to the various systems are provided, essentially leading to the System level as represented by the Versa Fresh link above.
The Veredesigns Team produced a range of printed materials for Prodew including flyers, spec sheets, and technical manuals. Some of that literature is available for download from the website.
In addition to manufacturing equipment, Prodew also installs and services their systems. We created additional content on the site to present the user with a complete picture of all that Prodew has to offer.
Prodew is the most widely recognized name in the retail perishable preservation industry; they serve more than 80% of the grocery retailers in the USA. Because of this recognition, they did not need to do much on advertising throughout the year. Instead, they focused their marketing efforts on trade shows. We designed a series of e-mail campaigns promoting their booths at various tradeshows, following up with leads generated at each show, and highlighting new products or innovations.
During our more than 10 years working with Prodew, we created dozens of email campaigns. These are some of the most recent; if you'd like additional samples, let us know.
Tradeshow Lead Follow-Up
At the in-person tradeshows, Prodew would scan the badges of the visitors to the booth. This would add their name and contact information to their lead database. Following the show, we would send a personalized email thanking them for visiting and letting them know that a sales representative will contact them soon. The word 'friend' in the greeting would be replaced with their name in the campaign.
Tradeshow Virtual Show Opening
2020 brought a change to the trade show world.... all shows went virtual since the Covid-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of in-person events. We created a video series to demonstrate each of Prodew's products and shared them on the various virtual platforms. Here is an e-mail campaign that we launched inviting attendees of the PMA Fresh Summit to visit Prodew's virtual booth.
Tradeshow Virtual Show End
Since the 2020 tradeshows were virtual, some lasted much longer than the traditional in-person schedule. The PMA Fresh Summit platform was open for a month, enabling Prodew's sales team to continue communicating with potential customers. However, since the platform was up for so long, some attendees needed reminding to visit Prodew. We designed a series of email campaigns that were sent throughout the month; here is the final e-mail announcing the last week.
